HOW COUNSELLING WORKS
We all face hurdles and difficult situations in life. We all respond differently to what life throws at us. We often feel alone, angry, anxious, over critical of ourselves as well as others. Sometimes we are stressed, frustrated and endure a vast range of uncomfortable emotions. Sometimes these emotions can be overwhelming and we have difficulties dealing with them. Often talking to friends and family is not enough. Counselling provides a platform to help you make sense of and alleviate some of the distress caused by daily life and also makes problems that may well stem back for years seem less painful. During our sessions we deal with these emotions in a positive way. Counselling provides an open space for you to talk through your problems with the guidance of your counsellor at your own pace. We do not pass judgment. Different people are suited to different methods of counselling. We can work at the quick-fix or more thorough in-depth approaches. It works by enabling you to understand your emotions and how to make huge changes that affect your life in a positive way. |
